Dr. Mike Cutler, PhD, LPC, brings many years of experience helping people work through trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, loss, and grief. He helps clients move through what keeps them stuck, build trust in themselves, and feel more connected to the people and experiences that matter to them.

Mike is trained in EMDR and draws from a range of approaches to find what works for the person in front of him. He works with people from diverse backgrounds, including military veterans, first responders, and LGBTQIA+ clients. His experience also includes life transitions, cultural and racial issues, and historical and multigenerational trauma.

Mike earned his doctorate at the University of South Dakota, where he focused on multicultural mental health and trauma recovery. He also taught in Boise State University’s Department of Counselor Education, helping shape the next generation of therapists. His research explored how people find strength and connection after severe trauma, including the importance of culture and community in healing.

At the heart of Mike’s work is the relationship. He values deep listening, mutual respect, and giving people room to discover their own understanding and direction. He brings extensive experience while staying curious about each person’s story, strengths, and hopes for change.
