Meg Esposito, M Ed

Meg has a Master’s in Education Counseling and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. She worked as a high school counselor for ten years in Idaho and Oregon – both in traditional “brick and mortar” as well as virtual school settings.  She also worked part time for several years as a psycho social rehabilitation counselor and life coach for teenage girls. Most of Meg’s experience has been working with students/adolescents dealing with depression, anxiety disorders, and trauma.  She also enjoys working with adults.

Meg values honesty and authenticity, both in life and in counseling. What some may see as vulnerability, Meg regards as courage.  She is inspired and amazed by the opportunity for growth and healing when individuals enter into counseling courageously. Meg’s approach is person centered. She strives to hold space for clients, listening without guiding or judging.  She maintains that clients are equal partners in the therapeutic journey. She considers herself to be compassionate and down to Earth.

She believes there is room for humor in therapy.  A mother herself, Meg is especially interested in working with first time mothers/parents in the perinatal phase.   In her free time, Meg enjoys all sorts of outdoor recreation and adventure with her husband, toddler boys, and family dog.  Hiking, running, camping, SUPing, and anything else on the water are among her favorites. She believes deeply in the healing and rejuvenating opportunities of time spent in nature.   Meg aspires to become a better fly fisherwoman and looks forward to backpacking trips with her sons. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, and reading.
